The plain-language agreement for keeping a private, photo-rich journal for the pets and homes you look after.
Last updated · July 24, 2026
This is friendly placeholder wording written to explain how Sitter's Log intends to treat your journals. It is not final legal advice and is pending review by a qualified lawyer.
Your journals are private
Sitter's Log is a private journal, not a social network. Every journal you create is visible only to you and the people you personally invite.
We do not sell, rent, or share your journal contents with advertisers. Your photos and daily logs belong to you.
Never indexed by search engines
Journals and their entries sit behind sign-in and are marked so that search engines and AI crawlers will not index them.
A journal can only be reached by someone who is signed in and has been granted access through an invite link you control.
Invites and shared access
When you share an invite link, anyone who opens it and signs in can read that journal until you remove their access. Treat invite links like house keys and only send them to people you trust.
As the sitter who owns a journal, you are responsible for who you invite and for the accuracy of what you post about a home and its pets.
Content you post
You keep ownership of the photos and words you add. By posting, you grant us the limited permission needed to store, sync, and display your content back to you and your invited readers.
Please only post content you have the right to share, and be considerate of the privacy of the homes, families, and pets in your care.
Acceptable use
Use Sitter's Log for its intended purpose: keeping caring, honest journals for the sits you look after. Do not use it for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity.
We may suspend access if the service is misused in a way that harms other people or the safety of the platform.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service grows. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
